Cherry's House

We were called in to remake the backyard and the Pool Area of this house on a beautiful stretch of the Parnassus mountain.

The Cherry's Residence

Project information

This project was a remodel of a Scandinavian style house, built in the 1920s of white clay bricks.  The kitchen was originally divided into a breakfast room and kitchen.  The clients wanted to open the space up, while retaining the ability to eat in the kitchen, and give it a fresh feeling more in keeping with the architecture of the house.

The Design

We redesigned the Kitchen and the Bathroom with the game table and had vintage chairs upholstered to match it. The lower level is playful and casual with a big sectional clad in reclaimed barn wood and a boat transformed into a day bed that hangs from the ceiling.

Conclusions

With the new Design the House become more comfortable and warm with colorful rugs and cozy wing back chairs upholstered in linen and cowhide.

New furniture includes vintage chairs reupholstered in brightly colored felt, a 10′ long bench upholstered in an antique Moroccan rug, and a JHID-designed coffee table.
