Wooden Living Decor

This project was a remodel of a of white clay bricks.  The room was originally divided into a breakfast room and kitchen.  The clients wanted to open the space up, while retaining the ability to eat in the kitchen, and give it a fresh feeling more in keeping with the architecture of the house.

The Project

The house is divided into three levels, each with its own common living space as well as adjacent bedrooms. We wanted to give each level a special feeling of its own

The Design

We redesigned the Kitchen and the rooms with the game table and had vintage chairs upholstered to match it. The lower level is playful and casual with a big sectional clad in reclaimed barn wood.

Conclusions

New furniture includes vintage chairs reupholstered in brightly colored felt, a 10′ long bench upholstered in an antique Moroccan rug, and a JHID-designed coffee table made of walnut “bricks”, an echo of the brick architecture.
